Your data. Your board.

BoomBox helps you make sense of orders, boxes, and the emails around them. We collect what the app needs to work — not a scrapbook of your life.

What we collect

When you use BoomBox, we collect the information you choose to put into your account: your name and email, orders, products, vendors, shipment details, notes, and uploaded documents.

If you connect an inbox, BoomBox can access the messages and message details needed for the inbox-scanning feature. That access is limited by the permissions you approve and is used to identify order confirmations and shipping updates.

02

Why we use it

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve BoomBox — including extracting order information, building shipment cards, calculating order totals, and showing the board you came here for.

We may also use de-identified, aggregated information to understand product performance and fix what is broken. We do not sell your personal information or your inbox contents.

03

Your Gmail connection

Connecting Gmail is optional and requires your permission. BoomBox uses a read-only Gmail connection to look for recent messages that appear to be order confirmations, receipts, shipping notices, or tracking updates. The scan runs only when you start it, and you can connect more than one Gmail account.

For messages found by that search, BoomBox may see the sender, subject, date, preview, and message content needed to identify purchase and delivery details. We use that information to extract things like the store, order number, products, prices, tracking number, carrier, and delivery notes. Results first go into a review queue; nothing becomes an order or box until you approve it.

BoomBox cannot send email, edit messages, delete messages, or change your Gmail settings through this connection. It does not need access to your contacts, calendar, Drive, or other Google products. Gmail access is read-only, and you can disconnect any account from BoomBox at any time. Disconnecting stops future scans; it does not automatically delete information you already imported, which you can review or remove from BoomBox.

Who can see it

Your account data is associated with your account and protected by access controls. We use service providers that help us host, secure, and operate BoomBox, and they may process information only as needed to provide those services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety and security of the service, or to address fraud, abuse, or other harmful activity.

05

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No online service is perfectly invincible, so please use a strong password and let us know if something looks suspicious.

06

Your choices

You can review, edit, or delete much of your information from inside BoomBox. You can also disconnect optional integrations and ask us to help with access, correction, or deletion requests.

Some information may need to be retained when we have a legitimate operational, legal, or security reason to do so.

Questions

Privacy questions, data requests, or something that feels off? Contact the BoomBox team through the support channel associated with your account. We would rather answer a real question than hide behind a wall of legal wallpaper.
